SIDE OPTICS
UK has invented and patented an optical system which conquers two problems at once. First, the maximum output of an LED is directly in front of it. A normal reflector does not focus this into a beam. Our system has the LEDs pointing sideways into the reflector, providing a capture of 85% instead of the traditional 65% in a parabolic reflector. This ideal Beam Ratio means a stronger central beam and less backscatter.
Try it for yourself! Turn the light on and look into the reflector from the side. Then slowly turn the light into your face. You will not be blinded until the beam is pointed directly at you. Compare this with any other light and you will see the difference.
LUMEN BOOSTER
INCREASES BURN TIME THROUGH EFFICIENCY
Underwater, lights with this technology actually “power up.” Our UK proprietary Lumen Booster technology provides the shortest thermal of any dive light by dissipating heat away from the LED, through the heatsink and into the water. This allows our LED lights to run an amazing 5° C above water temperature compared to the 50-100° rise that most of our competitor’s lights have.
Unlike incandescent lamps, LED lights become less efficient the hotter they get. This decrease in LED temperature makes UK Lights 20% more efficient than other dive lights on the market.
HYDRALUM
Hydra WHAT? We're serious about keeping our lights corrosion free. That's why we created a proprietary alloy that we call Hydralum. It is exceptionally resistant and corrodes only 1/200th as much as aerospace grade aluminum alloys. This exemplifies the high standards set on the C4 and other lights on our line to last their use a lifetime.
