I've been using this flashlight for the past 5-6 months and it's great for a variety of tasks. With this light, the balance between providing extreme brightness and using ordinary batteries that last a long time is just right. It's bright, has a simple and ergonomic one-click on/off switch, and a very centered light beam. At the same time, the 3c alkaline batteries last longer than any other flashlight I've ever used. It also doesn't overheat. The focused beam is ideal for lighting the ground under your feet and performing simple tasks. Also, I won't lose this flashlight because of the bright yellow plastic casing. It's easy to carry, doesn't roll around, weighs almost nothing, has a great clip, and fits well in a pocket or purse. I'm not a big fan of plastic, but the durable plastic on this light is actually very nice to hold, and the lighter weight than metal keeps the balance in the hand quite comfortable, especially over longer periods of time. It's ideal for navigating in the dark, spotting teeny-tiny items dropped on the floor, and is reliable as a super-durable, indestructible extreme emergency light.
I don't normally rave about flashlights, but I'm really loving this Gatorlite flashlight for its super high quality, sturdy construction, well-thought-out design, reliability in extreme situations, and, most importantly, the perfect combination of particularly long battery life and excellent brightness. Not to mention that it's a US-based manufacturer. You know how amazing it feels to get a truly excellent and reliable product? You'd like to tell your friends about it, yeah? And you're thankful to the company that produced it? That is exactly how I feel about it.
