This is the same UK 3AA flashlight I used when I was a chemist for a large pharmaceutical bulk manufacturing company. We worked with high pressure hydrogenation reactors and low conductivity solvents, hexane, heptane, THF, etc., and this was the only flashlight we ever found to meet all the requirements for working in these environments. We never experienced an issue using them when working in an explosive environment and found them indispensable given their powerful light especially if looking into a vitreous glass reactor even in low light conditions. This most recent purchase replaces the one I used for many years which I dropped hitting the on/off tail switch damaging the switch.
This new one is just as bright and works just as well as my old one did. If it lasts me half as long as the previous one it will be money well spent.
Happy Holidays and stay safe.
Best regards,
Steven Gillespie
